What we check
A UPC or EAN that a scanner can read, with a GTIN whose check digit is correct.

The 2D code holds a web address with /01/ and your GTIN, and that GTIN matches the barcode.
From a PDF: module size against the GS1 retail range of 0.396 to 0.990 mm, and distance from the barcode.
We ask the link for its list of product links and tell you if it replies.
This is a quick check, not a GS1 verification. Before a big print run, have your printer or a barcode verifier grade a press proof.
